Challenges
Designing an app that centers on anonymity and personality over images goes against conventional dating app norms.
Most dating platforms rely on instant visual attraction, so removing that required rethinking how interest, excitement, and trust are built through interaction alone.
Another significant challenge was the rebranding from The Circle to Get Chances, which demanded a complete redefinition of the visual identity.
The new design needed to reflect curiosity, and opportunity while maintaining emotional depth and coherence across the experience.
Solutions
The brand concept positions anonymity as a tool for intimacy. By keeping users’ identities partially concealed at first, Get Chances builds anticipation, curiosity, and trust, turning restraint into a core emotional experience.
The visual language uses dark, warm tones, soft typography, and subtle motion to communicate closeness, professionalism, and sophistication.
Gamified interactions were strategically applied to reinforce brand values.
Unlocking profile details through engagement transforms curiosity into emotional investment, making each interaction feel intentional and meaningful. This system reflects the brand’s personality: playful yet purposeful, mysterious yet trustworthy.
The brand voice and narrative support a unique positioning in the dating category, emphasizing quality of connection over quantity of users.

Learnings & Reflection
The project showed that in crowded markets, a brand’s emotional architecture can be its strongest asset. By designing for trust, curiosity, and intimacy, Get Chances turned anonymity into a unique advantage.
